Skiing - The cross country routes at the Nordic Centre offer lots of variety and some spectacular views of the town. There are plenty of skiing opportunities. The Rocky Mountain Ski Challenge is an annual ski marathon hosted by the Canmore Nordic Ski Club.

Sledding – Sledding in Banff National Park, tobogganing and sleigh rides – all available in the area

Canmore Highland Games take place this year on Sunday, September 6, 2009 in the Centennial Park, Canmore, and annually on the Sunday of the Labour Day weekend - organised by the Three Sisters Scottish Festival Society. You can find more details on their own website.
